Trees of Grey Towers

Trees of Grey Towers brochureWelcome to your self-guided tour of the Trees of Grey Towers. We have developed several different resources for you to enjoy and learn about the different trees in our landscape.

Tree Trail smartphoneYou can request or download a copy of the Trees of Grey Towers brochure, which provides botanical and historical information on about 30 of our most prominent or interesting trees. Or, while strolling the grounds on your own, you can read the identification placards in front of each tree.

Finally, today’s technology has enabled us to provide more than these snippets of information; we have installed QR codes on the placards that can connect you to web-based details and photos on the trees.

What is a QR Code? A QR code (quick response code) is a type of 2D bar code that is used to provide easy access to information through a Smartphone and/or tablet.

How to use the QR Code? Open your QR code scanner and hold your Smartphone or tablet over the QR code, which will read the code through the camera. The reader interprets the code and will open the corresponding webpage on the phone or tablet. The tree you scanned will show up or you can scroll through until you find the tree you are interested in!
