“A Christmas Carol” Dramatic Reading

November 23, 2021

- December 31, 2021

An audio recording of Charles Dickens’ timeless tale

Dramatic readings were a popular form of entertainment when Grey Towers was occupied by the Pinchot family in the late 1800s through mid-twentieth century. The US Forest Service and Grey Towers Heritage Association have re-created these literary programs with readings and dramatizations.

Due to COVID 19 concerns the live performance of “A Christmas Carol” could not be done this year at Grey Towers.

Great News…

You can still celebrate our tradition of listening to A Christmas Carol, as dramatically presented by Joe and Thérèse Plummer, from the comfort of your home.

The dramatic reading and audio recording of “A Christmas Carol” was performed by Joe Plummer Jr., founder and director of ‘Gotta Kid To Feed Productions,’ a digital media company, and Therese Plummer, an actor and award winning voice over artist.

An Important Programming Note:

Thérèse Plummer has performed A Christmas Carol at Grey Towers for a number of years. Last year she and her brother Joe Plummer provided this audio program that many of you enjoyed.

Thérèse was hit head-on by a drunk driver resulting in a devastating car crash June 11, 2021. Thankfully, witnesses rescued her before both vehicles exploded in flames. She sustained multiple severe injuries. Her recovery will be long and painful.

Any donations that Grey Towers Heritage Association receives as a result of this audio program will go to Thérèse Plummer and her recovery efforts.

Thank you for your consideration, generosity, and warm wishes.
