National Public Lands Day

September 25, 2021
11:00 am
- 4:00 pm

A FEE-FREE Day of self-guided grounds tours and ice cream social!

Enjoy free ice cream during a re-creation of the ice cream socials that Gov. Gifford Pinchot and his wife Cornelia offered for the community at Grey Towers when they lived here in the 1920’s and 1930’s.

This is the best way the U.S. Forest Service and the Grey Towers Heritage Association know how to thank the community for their support all year round.

  • Ice cream will be served between 2-4pm
  • Live Music from the local Scott Weiss Band, and a performance by opera tenor Jesus Hernandez accompanied by Mariachi Hidalgo
  • Enjoy participation in movement classes
  • A children’s activity area including coloring activities, scavenger hunts, Citizen Science demonstrations, and nature-based displays

Due to Covid-19 restrictions the Mansion will not be open for this event.
