An audio recording of Charles Dickens’ timeless tale

Dramatic readings were a popular form of entertainment when Grey Towers was occupied by the Pinchot family in the late 1800s through mid-twentieth century. The US Forest Service and Grey Towers Heritage Association have re-created these literary programs with readings and dramatizations.

Due to COVID 19 concerns the live performance of “A Christmas Carol” could not be done this year at Grey Towers.

This year, we are offering a new way to celebrate our tradition

Professional performers Joe & Therese Plummer recently completed the audio recording of the “A Christmas Carol.” You can enjoy this timeless tale from the comfort and safety of your home.

“A Christmas Carol” dramatic reading will be performed by Joe Plummer Jr., founder and director of ‘Gotta Kid To Feed Productions,’ a digital media company, and Therese Plummer, an actor and award winning voice over artist living and working in New York City. Both are the children of Joe Plummer Sr. of Delaware, who performed the readings for the first 30 years and recently retired.
